According to two websites, (http://guardian.ng and www.von.gov.ng) 283 adult and non-formal education centres were established by the Governor Willie Obiano across all the state of Anambra, in Nigeria. This information was given by the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha. She revealed the information at the opening of a five-day training workshop in which more than 200 teachers participated, held in the capital of the state of Anambra, Awka. Discussions at the workshop were centred on:
This action was developed in partnership with ANSEPIP – Anambra State Education Programme Investiment Project. According to the Commissioner, these centres were spread across Anambra State, mostly, for adult people, who had not had the the opportunity to attend formal education and the aim of the training was to equip facilitators with basic communication skills and also knowledge on how to develop, plan and deliver lesson notes.

Yet, according to the page, Omenugha was confident about the ability of facilitators and the Consultant for the Training and Managing Director of Fagna (Training and Consultant), named Ajadi Blade, guaranteed that his team would be ready to equip the participants with those modern practices required by adult education.
